Technical Notes:

The DW-1sa Vornskr Scout Armor is a type of fully-enclosed armored power suit used for reconnaissance and light combat missions by the Deathwatch Mandalorian Splinter group. It consists of tight-fitting plates over a thick suit of flexible airtight mesh. The joints are powered by small, electro servo motors to increase joint strength, and includes a link system for a traditional HUD equiped buy'ce. It could operate for a day and a half on three standard power cells before needing a critical recharge.

The Vornskr armor enhances the wearer's strength and has a full life support system equipped with an atmospheric analyzer to detect harmful gases in the external atmosphere. It has a computerized targeting system and sensor suite functions to tie into the attachd buy'ce to help the user to see and fight in low light situations. At the cost of lowering operation time the wearer can also kick in a repulsorlift that allows the wearer limited flight capabilities with a maximum altitude of about 1000 meters.

Model or Name: DW-1ca Medium "Hyenax" Combat Armor

Price: 25,000 credits

Technical Specifications

Category: Powered Armor

Attachments: Computerized Targeting system, Fully contained Repulsorlift, integrated powerlamp, integrated shoulder mounted multi-purpose grenade launcher

Construction: Reinforced Durasteel

Weight: 55 kg

Manufacturer: The Death Watch

User: The Death Watch

Technical Notes:

DW-1ca "Hyenax" combat armor is a type of fully-enclosed armored power suit produced by the Deathwatch Mandalorian splinter group. The Hyenax, is designed for front-line infantry units. The armor augments the wearer's strength, and is equipped with a comprehensive weapon integration and targeting system - allowing the user to link up to two weapons to the suit's onboard battle computer for use with a buy'ce.

Additionally, the power suit is fitted with repulsorlifts for greater agility and the power of flight. The system provides a full life support system capable of 24 hours of operation, with an internal air supply and extreme environmental conditions including vacuum. An internal comlink gives the wearer the ability to send and receive encrypted messages at a range of up to 50 kilometers.

An integrated Powerlamp over the right shoulder offers a powerful floodlight that can create a beam of light up to 100 meters long and 50 meters wide. An included multi-purpose grenade launcher is incorporated over the left shoulder, with a 6 round magazine that can be spec'ed according to mission perameters. Finally, a sensor suite gives the operators secondary targeting information to support the standard HUD system incorporated into a Mandalorian buy'ce.

Technical Notes:

Striding the line between "personal armor" and "personal vehicle", the DW-1AT "Tarentatek" assault armor is among the largest, strongest, and most advanced suits of powered armor available in the galaxy. Developed by contracts with the New Sith's Black Sun contacts, the Tarentatek Assault Armor is clearly intended for overkill. With Dagg "The Bastard" acting as a consultant and outlining what he expected of the armor, technitians were hard pressed to create a finished product up to his exacting standards.

And while it remains to be seen whether or not such a weapon will prove to be necessary, the end result is certainly impressive to say the least. A single DW-1AT Terentatek Assault Armor is around the cost of a TIE/in starfighter, and packs a relatively simliar amount of armament at an imposing height of 12 feet tall. While it may come with a high cost that will certainly limit large-scale operations, it is hard to say the armor isn't worth it when compared to the damage output and defense of a standard Imperial Stormtrooper.

At its core, the armor consistes of an EMP hardened central shell housing the user and much of the circuitry, including the six standard power packs that poweres the armor for periods of up to 12 hours at a time. With an internal air supply and full sealing against outside forces, the suit can in theory provide full life support as long as there is power, providing protection against most extreme environments such as deep space.

The onboard systems are quite formidable for a suit of armor. It possesses a capable sensor system able to operate fully in low- or no-light conditions, with built in visual amplification on par with that of a pair of electrobinoculars, and its power lamp can create a beam of light up to 100 meters long and 50 meters wide. The suit can link its mounted weapons to an onboard targeting computer for increased accuracy, while a built-in comlink allows the suit's operator to communicate at a range of 100 kilometers with full encryption capabilities.

The shell itself is surrounded by a series of heavy armored plating that fully covers the operator's limbs and internal systems. This heavy plating along with a personal energy shield generator provides unrivaled protection in terms of personal armor, with the suit's powered servos augmenting the operator's strength by a factor of more than double.

In combat the armor mounts three default primary weapon systems; a rotary quad blaster cannon built around a cryogenic cooling system for sustained heavy fire mounted on the right arm, a proton grenade mortar mounted on the left arm, and finally a pair of chest mounted micro rocket launchers. In addition the operator can take advantage of the suit's versatility to install up to three separate weapons on the built-in modular weapon mounts over each shoulder, and on the left arm; each capable of supporting weapons as large as a light blaster cannon. When linked to the suit's targeting systems the operator can unleash an immense amount of firepower while absorbing a great deal of punishment in return.

Despite the armor's immense size, the powered servos and built in repulsarlift allow the operator to move as freely as if wearing conventional armor, with only a moderate loss of speed as to be expected of such a large frame. In addition this repulsorlift enables it to make use of limited flight capabilities about as fast as a normal human can walk, with a flight ceiling of around one kilometer, though its agility is vastly inferior to the lighter models and it is a substantial drain upon the suit's power reserves. Thanks to a series of maneuvering thrusters, the suit maintains its flight capabilities in zero-g environments, allowing the operator to go nearly anywhere.

During combat situations, the suit monitors the operator's vital signs, and is capable of providing a one-shot dose of emergency medications in order to keep the operator alive. In truly dire situations, the suit's ejection system can blow the suit apart and send the operator flying out upwards. After a 20 second countdown, the suit will then go into an automatic self destruct sequence to destroy sensitive systems and components.

-//I asked Seiryu to help me with this, he can provide info on the canon sources that it came from. Almost all of it was directly based on the canon Powersuits from the D20 Star Wars Role Playing game.\\-

[A]Death Watch Power Armor

((After being asked to run the information and get this set up by Dagg who wishes to create some sort of Deathwatch independant group, I was able to find quite a few examples of Powered Combat Armor suits in Star Wars, much more than I had exepected given the fact that the 'powered' armor I remember was in the KotOR games and kinda sucked. The specs you see here are largely based on the canon AV-1 series of Power Armors, as well as a dash of the Juggernaut 510 Combat Power Armor in the form of the shoulder grenade launcher for the Hyenax medium armor. When I say largely based, I do mean largely based as the descriptions are a near match (Edited here and there when appropriate). Dagg may have wanted something completely custom, however the way I see it, you don't need to fix what isn't broken so after he reviewed all the info, I told him to go ahead and post it for review.

In addition, the right arm and chest armament seen on the Heavy Armor is based on that of the powersuited Clone Wars villain Kul Teska. Which oddly enough is the second example of a gatling/rotary blaster I have seen along with the Merr Son Underslung Rotary Carbine.)) </div>

I like it, and after a brief discussion, power armors were decided not to be of much concern, and as stated they do have a canon background, so a job well done, all three armors are accepted.
