How To Use BBcodes

[anchor="Mentions"]How to Use Mentions[/anchor]

There are 3 methods you can use to mention another player.

Bbcode Tags:

Code: Select all

1) @username (easiest option)
2) [mention][/mention]
3) [mention="username"]Nickname[/mention] (With this BBCode you can choose whatever display name you want for mentioning a user [e.g. for nicknames]. You can see the real username if you hover the mention in the text)

Purpose: To notify another player of your post by "mentioning" their username.

How To Use:

1) For @username: Put "@" followed by the username (word for word)
2) For [mention]: Put [mention*] before the username and [/mention*] after the username (without the asterisk*).
3) For [mention="username"]: Put [*mention="username"] (add username with quotes in placeholder), then the nickname/alternate name, and after add [/mention*] (without the asterisk*)

Format (what you type):
  • For [Mention]:

    Code: Select all

    [mention]Duke[/mention]
    Outcome: [mention]Duke[/mention]

    For [@username]:

    Code: Select all

    @Duke
    Outcome: @Duke

    For [mention=username]:

    Code: Select all

    [mention="Duke"]Dookie[/mention]
    Outcome: [mention="Duke"]Dookie[/mention]
